Hello Everyone!

The TMEA All-Region Jazz entry portal is available online for you to enter your students.

I need to give you a heads up that when you enter students into the contest, the resulting invoice will automatically generate a late fee due to the presets within the audition entry system. I've spoken with Steven Dojahn about this, and while we cannot change those presets, we are not going to collect those late fees from any school because it took longer than anticipated to get the contest set up. We were, however, able to drop the Campus Fee this year from $100 down to $50 while the individual student entry fee remains at $20 each.

Note: Please make sure that you have your entries in no later than Tuesday, September 14^th (tomorrow) so that we can finalize the contest and start assigning judges. Tuesday is the Final Deadline and no additional students may be added after that date!

A couple of other additional details…

The director entering students into the contest must be an Active Member of TMEA (current year's dues paid).

Please take a moment to reply to this email and let me know what judges you can provide for the contest. This contest is always challenging to fill panels because so few schools typically participate.

The contest will take place in-person at Cooper High School (Abilene) on Tuesday, September 21^st. We will have our judges' meeting beginning @ 5pm with the contest starting shortly thereafter.

We are going to record students for Area immediately following the posting of the Region-level results.

We are using the State Improv Etude for both the Region and Area level auditions.
